Product Owner


About The Position

Sparks AB is looking for a Product Owner with strong technical background and project management skills.

We specialize in predicting global macro-economic trends happening around the world using sophisticated and proprietary artificial intelligence and big data. 

We are a well-funded company in the predictive analytics field working with top leading financial institutions.

In this position, you will be responsible for product backlog items and prioritization along with tracking sprint progress and product deliveries.

You’ll be working closely with the R&D team (Backend Developers and QA & Automation Engineers).



  • Hands on operating the R&D team to define requirements.
  • Break down high-level requirements into detailed product specs and writing PRD's.
  • Own the product backlog to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Develop detailed specifications and define backlog items and the priorities so they are clearly understood by the development team.
  • Participate in the development and formation of the product’s strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop several products from MVP to full scale.
  • Work with PM to analyze the needs and align product roadmap.
  • Monitoring product performance/functionality. 


  • At least 2 years of experience as a Product Owner / inbound Product Manager.
  • Technical background as a technical PO / Developer / QA Engineer, and hands-on mentality.
  • B.Sc. in Computer science or in a related field, or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Working closely with R&D and Data Science teams.
  • Experience working on AI projects.
  • Experience in writing PRD's for tech-oriented products.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of software project development concepts (clean code, CI/CD, OOP, microservices, multithreading).
  • Project management and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to work independently, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile / Scrum processes and principles, experience in leading Sprints and PI's.
  • Ability to thrive in start-up culture: Has a growth mindset, resilient, adaptable, curious and motivated.
  • Team player.
